Report on Blessing Workshop in the Blue Mountains
The Australian Blessing Department organised a blessing workshop for first and second generation at the Blue Mountains Katoomba YHA from 14 to 15 February, 2015. About 12 people participated, with Jago and Estelle Gavin giving the main content, and Jynene Helland coming up on the Sunday to share one presentation.
The workshop participants travelled together from Sydney to the Blue Mountains on Friday evening to get settled in and ready to start early the next day.
On Saturday, the participants started the day with reading hoondokhae material related to the blessing and God’s ideal. After eating breakfast in the common room shared by the hostel guests, the workshop attendees then moved to the reserved room for the lectures. In the morning session, there were two presentations on ‘The Fall and Restoration of Blood Lineage’ which were given by both Jago and Estelle. It also included a testimony of their personal matching and blessing experience.
After a delicious quiche lunch, there was some free time for members to enjoy the beautiful nature or walk around Katoomba and do some shopping. There were two more sessions in the afternoon, given by Jago, on the topics of ‘Change of Blood Lineage’ and ‘Blessing Providence for 2nd Gen’. This included a discussion on the differences between 1st and 2nd gen blessings, particularly as we had both groups in attendance. The day ended with a lively outdoor ukulele music festival after dinner.
The following morning, Jynene gave the first lecture, entitled ‘Marriage and Partnership’. Her presentation included a couple of interactive activities and a short video. Everyone enjoyed pizza for lunch and then Jago talked about the application process and distributed the family matching handbook for Oceania.
After a final question and answer session, the workshop concluded in the early afternoon with the presentation of graduation certificates and a group photo.
