The purpose of the education is to guide members about the concept of home church, significance of small group, and the goals of the group. The main goal of the group is to provide an environment for spiritual growth among its members and to practice true love in the community. The group meets weekly on every Wednesday from 7 pm. Brisbane Australia Sister's Retreat
9th - 10th May
A Sister's Retreat was held on the Sunshine Coast QLD for two days May 9th and 10th 2017
Organized by Susi Evans, co- pastor of the Brisbane Family Church and supported by Yassi Webster, it was held in a beautiful cottage setting amongst a backdrop of delightful gardens nestled in the hills of Maleny.
The purpose of the workshop was to rekindle the bonding between sisters in our Brisbane community by sharing freely, honestly and confidentiality about our past and current challenges, including testimonies.
With prayers, tears, stimulating outings and comforting healthy food, we found barriers around our hearts gradually dissolving.
We discussed ways we could work together to continue building these bonds as a new beginning for in reach in our families, community and ultimately outreach in a witnessing capacity.
An integral part of the workshop was learning to improve our communication skills, through practicing empathetic listening.
In so doing, we could already observe how trust, respect and healing of relationships were taking place.
Our future plans are to involve more sisters, particularly Second Gen in the retreats and create opportunities for couples and families to participate as well.
We would also like to add the study of holistic health and wellbeing to include, spiritual, mental, emotional and physical aspects.
Hopefully through these retreats we can help reignite the flames of inspiration that led us to make our personal commitment to serve God and True Parents.
